Principal

Mr. Quentin Weaver

With an extensive background spanning over seven years in the realm of youth services, Quentin brings a wealth of expertise to his position as principal. Holding a level 7 degree in Social Care from WIT, Quentin’s academic foundation is complemented by his notable certifications in TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention).

Furthermore, Quentin boasts a diverse skill set, bolstered by his certifications in various outdoor activities. His qualifications include Hillwalking, Canoeing Level 2, and REC 3 (First Aid Training), underscoring his commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of those under his care.

Deputy Principal

Mr. Carlson Funk

As a program administrator, Carlson’s area of expertise makes him an indispensable asset to the team. He diligently combines his wealth of practical knowledge with his organizational abilities, ensuring that every facet of the camp operates smoothly and efficiently.

Carlson’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and well-being is exemplified by his noteworthy certifications; His qualifications in TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), Archery Safety, and First Aid demonstrate his dedication to creating a secure environment where participants can thrive under his watchful guidance.

Educational Officer

Mr. Kenny Beiler

Kenny’s journey to becoming an educational officer is deeply rooted in his formative years within a similar school community in America. Growing up in an environment where his father served as a school liaison officer and family support worker, Kenny was immersed in the world of education from a young age. This upbringing has instilled in him a profound understanding of the pivotal role schools play in shaping the lives of students and fostering a supportive learning environment. He then went on to serve for three years in Comeragh Wilderness Camp before moving into his new role as Educational Officer.

Teaching Staff

Our dedicated teaching staff are directly responsible for the progress and well-being of each student. They serve as the camper’s friend, teacher, big brother, nurse, mentor, confidant, and role model. The teaching staff, guided by the chiefs, facilitate the campers’ learning experiences.

Office Manager

Darlene Hoover

As the office manager, Darlene handles many of the office duties of the school, ensuring the organization of paperwork as well as serving as the receptionist.

Maintenance Staff

Judah Beachy

The maintenance staff is responsible for the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and vehicles. They also build caring relationships with the campers.

Cook

Victoria Gregory

Our canteen staff prepares nutritious meals, following HACCP guidelines, five days a week for students and staff.

Admissions

Our school follows a rolling admission process, which means that we accept and review applications on an ongoing basis. To apply for a place at our school, please complete the enrollment form provided below and email it to info@comeraghwildernessacademy.com along with all the required documentation.

Upon receiving your application, our staff will contact you to discuss your application and schedule an interview. Once the interview is completed, we will arrange for you to visit the school.
